“No one ever believes it can happen to them, certainly not for those in the most privileged parts of society. Amy understood very quickly that innocent people ensnared by the criminal justice system aren’t always able to avert a wrongful conviction. She has taken that knowledge as an imperative to use her voice and station in life to do all that she can to prevent other innocent people from becoming victims of the criminal justice system. I am proud to have Amy as a partner in justice for the innocent.” Said Seth Miller, Executive Director of the Innocence Project of Florida.

“I want others to know that if it can happen to anyone. There is no discrimination as to who can be affected by a false accusation. I’m advocating on behalf of those who have become victims of the criminal justice system and letting those affected know that there is a path that can be taken to prove their innocence when unjustly accused ― and that they can rise above the horrible situations they may face.”
